Simplicity – Daily Journal
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Luke 16:13 ESV
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
Simplicity seems to be the less stressful way. It also seems to always amaze me when simple things do the job and do it well. Beauty in itself. This is something I try to do all my designs. Don’t overcomplicate it. In many cases, I have to remind myself this often as I would through a design. I also have to remind myself that two may be better than one when it comes to function. Two specific, simple tools (designs) may serve better for two separate functions, than one tool to serve two functions.
