Saddle Suspenders and Back Panel Attachment Review.
I set out to make the gear I carry on a quick Saddle Hunt more efficient. This meant reducing bulk and weight from my pack. I soon realized adding more pouches and weight to my saddle was not going to work. This made the saddle too heavy and not easy to walk around.
I reached out to FlatBranchOutdoors.com and ordered their Piggy Back Suspenders and back panel attachment. The suspenders even out the load on the extra weight on my saddle. Things like binoculars, a rangefinder, and Thermacell stored in pouches. Eventually, two sticks when climbing. My camera gear, bow hanger, and gear hooks are fit nicely in the back panel. I can add any additional small pouched or bungee and extra gear to the molle loops as well. With the back panel completely detachable, you can use it as an accessory pouch and hanger right in the tree when you get to climbing height.
The suspender straps allow for me to use my custom camera backpack mount to have my camera ready as I walk into my hunting location. Find it in my Shop.
Couple other features
Customizable to fit your gear
Add straps, bungee or pouches for the gear you need
For me, this greatly reduces the bulk and weight of the backpack I used.
I carry my bow in one hand and my sticks in the other. This is the system I will be trying out this year.
