Hunting – Daily Journal
Genesis 27:3 ESV
Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me,
Genesis 9:3 ESV
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.
Genesis 1:29-30 ESV
And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
Hunting is a greatly debated topic. Hunting and gathering have been the way to provide food since the beginning. This discussion gets lumped into the different types of food we should and should not eat (Vegan, Paleo, Mediterranian, Carnivore….) It’s all been provided for food and pretty sure one source (plants or animals) or one way of eating will sustain the entire world population. Therefore, we have been provided “every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” It’s all available and we have the freedom to chose what might be best for us individually…
