Campark Camera Review

Campark Camera Review

This past hunting season I tested a trail camera and brand I was not familiar with. It is the CamPark Model T20. l have always enjoyed setting trail cameras to take inventory of deer. This year I have been testing some new scents and attractants for white-tailed deer. A great way to see how effective attractant scents are is to set a trail camera over them. This is for future reviews. My hunting grounds and testing grounds are on public land or my own backyard. With my past history of stolen cameras, I wasn’t about to set a very expensive camera! Like all my hunting gear, I researched less expensive cameras with fairly decent reviews.

Campark Camera Review

Campark T20

At the beginning of the season, I paid $38 for the camera on Amazon. The features I liked when making my decision originally.

  1. Cost – If I only get one season out of it, then it was worth it!
  2. Small – Supper small to pick out on a tree, great for public lands.
  3. It only uses 4 batteries to run it – other cameras like this will take 6-8 AAs
  4. Reviews were OK and pictures posted looked OK for what I wanted to accomplish with it.
  5. If I did like it after testing it all season, I could always add a couple more or even look at their upgraded models.

Campark Camera Review

Right away I was impressed with the packaging, instruction and even mounting accessories included with the Campark Camera. All the features above that lead to the decision to buy the camera checked out. I first tested the video mode, which I often do because my past experience with less expensive cameras has not been great in picture mode. Blurry pictures often occur and I find the video mode just works better for identifying the deer. The video quality is OK for a camera at this price point. Not all HD is created equal and I really wasn’t expecting amazing things here. I then tested picture mode. I was impressed based on my past experience with picture quality for a camera at this price point.

There were two things that stood out for me with this Campark camera. First, the sensor and trigger speed is fast as stated in the Amazon description. The coyote, deer video and pictures trigger right as they are entering the camera view. Second, was the distance this camera picked up movement. This makes this sensor extremely sensitive and I actually ran the camera on the low sensitivity setting. Originally I had it set to high sensitivity, which did show quite a few blank or false triggers when it was windy out. The false triggers went down when I set the sensitivity to low.

Final Thoughts Trail Camera Review

Overall, I would say this Campark camera worked for what I wanted it to do and at the price point it fits well in with the other cameras I have had. My recommendation would be to put this in an area you will be checking fairly often so you can get the sensitivity setting just right. I would not buy it and set it out for long periods without checking until you have the sensitivity setting dialed in! See the video above for video and picture quality.
