DIY Arrow Saw
Here is my version of a DIY Arrow Saw. This tool is necessary if you simply want to buy arrows online or perform your own testing at home with multiple arrows and lengths. You may even have most of these items in your garage. In this video do a quick review of the Black Eagle Deep Impact Arrows I use and why. Then I get into how o make and use a very simple DIY Arrow Saw.
Rotary Saw to Cut Arrows
I use a Dremel tool for my arrow saw. This is something I purchased many years ago to make a bean bag toss game. Later I discovered the individual cutting tools and adaptor tools that can be added for other handy household projects. The most important thing to remember when cutting carbon arrows is to be sure you have enough RPM in your rotary tool. Most arrow saws are at least 10,000 RPM…I would go as high as you can with a sharp cutting tool for clean square cuts!

Finishing it Up
Once you have the arrow saw and cutter, You can use your own ideas to make this better. I use a piece of angled aluminum, a 2″ angle bracket and some clamps to bring it all together. These can be picked up at your local hardware store.

Cutting and Gluing Outserts – Black Eagle Arrows
When you order Black Eagle arrows online, they will come full length. You will need to cut and glue on the outsert for Deep Impact arrows. Remember the outsert will add length to the overall arrow length, so be sure to compensate for this when cutting. Have building arrows!
